Color Consulting Process
Color conveys both who we are and how we feel. It is pivotal in designing any space. With my two step color consulting process, you will be able to transform your home, brand, business, or office to perfectly encompass your vision.

Color Assessment
In this phase, I will come into the space or spaces you wish to renovate and create a proposal for your renovations, taking in mind existing furniture, fixtures, and textile colors. This will include a proposed palette of 3 colors, a presentation of samples on color boards, as well as recommendations for trim and ceiling finishes, paint color and finishes, and furniture placements for each space desired.
Color Consultation
In this phase, I will apply the recommendations from the color assessment throughout the renovation process. This will ensure a cohesive and complete space. I will also coordinate with painters and contractors, if so desired.

Becoming a Color Whisperer - Hillary Mullen
Color surrounds us. It is a passionate metaphor for our emotions. Color is personal, yet influenced by our culture.

One of my earliest memories is a drive I took with my family. On this particular day, we were driving on a highway that led us to a cityscape. I distinctly remember seeing the small homes lined up close to one another along the road – sharing similar architecture, but adorned with personalized, vibrant colors like pink and blue and green and yellow. I fantasized about the inhabitants based on the colors I saw and tried to guess who lived in each home. When I told my mother about my observations, her response was, “Really?” Her eyes only saw small urban houses along a highway. I saw a palette that made my heart sing.

As an adult, I became the go-to person for family and friends whenever a color decision had
to be made. My nickname soon became the “Color Whisperer.”

What makes me unique is that I have the ability to go into a space and innately feel what color works best. It is a sensory, as well as a visual experience for me. My priority is to listen to my clients, understand their style and assess their needs. In speaking with them I get a sense of how they want the space to look and feel. I selectively choose colors that enhance their style while complementing the furniture and decor. I use my color expertise to bring to life their vision.
What a pleasure it is to work with my clients in helping them design a space that feels like their own slice of heaven. I want every person I work with to be as inspired by the color around them as I do by color itself.
